TROY RIVER STREET COMPLEX
TRSC is a large scale housing complex designed with the intention to promote technological growth within Troy and the Capital District. The housing complex sits on the Hudson River with programs intended for community interaction such as a kayaking rental, commercial shops and a restaurant. The complex is divided up into living and work spaces designed to enable the next generation of technology experts.
The massing of the complex was determined through a study of the site context and landscape. Living and work spaces were separated to create intersecting circulation paths in order to instigate interactions and promote a sense of connectedness.
The aesthetic choice of the project mirrors that of the water, where the facade detailing flows and erodes like the flowing of the Hudson River.
